Major Duties and Responsibilities : Support in the design and execution of market research and client survey activities. Proactively identify and solicit new loan accounts in alignment with periodic performance targets outlined in the branch business plan. Lead and participate in marketing campaigns aimed at attracting new clients and expanding the branch’s outreach. Provide clear and informative orientations to prospective clients regarding KebronHill MFI’s financial products and services. Support the Branch Manager in the development of annual business plans and budgets; facilitate focus group discussions (FGDs) with clients to gather feedback and insights. Receive and review loan applications; perform thorough credit appraisals of applicants and their guarantors, where applicable. Conduct on-site inspections and appraisals of collateral offered to secure loans, ensuring proper valuation and documentation. Prepare and present credit applications to the branch credit committee, and coordinate logistics for credit committee meetings. Schedule and facilitate loan disbursements; ensure accurate and timely loan repayment collections. Hand over all daily collected cash to the teller/cashier in accordance with financial procedures. Assess the repayment history and overall performance of existing clients to make informed recommendations for repeat loans. Actively participate as a member of the branch loan committee, contributing to loan decision-making processes. Submit timely and accurate periodic reports and statistical data to the Branch Manager, supporting performance monitoring and strategic planning. Maintain and manage a client portfolio in accordance with the minimum standards and targets established for the role. Monitor loan repayments closely to ensure timely payments and enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward delinquency. Conduct effective and professional negotiations with clients in arrears to resolve repayment issues and prevent default. Perform timely follow-ups on overdue accounts, analyze the causes of delinquency, and ensure all actions taken are properly documented. Provide support to fellow loan officers in managing and resolving delinquency cases, especially during high-risk periods. Conduct regular field visits to clients at their business sites before, during, and after loan disbursement to assess performance, provide support, and strengthen client relationships.
