ASDEPO is mandated to operate in all regional states of the country and is engaged indifferent thematic program areas of intervention namely: Humanitarian Response, Education, Health, Women and Youth Economic Empowerment, Gender Based Violence and Child Protection, Migration/Human Trafficking, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), NTD’s Climate Change, Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Training in Gambella, Oromiya, Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar, SNNPR and Somali Region. Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Team Leader, the Junior Laboratory Technician supports the delivery of quality laboratory services in a remote and resource-limited Health facility. The role involves conducting basic laboratory tests, ensuring proper sample handling, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine laboratory tests (e.g., malaria, hematology, urinalysis, stool examination). Collect, label, and process patient samples accurately. Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Record and report test results clearly and on time. Follow infection prevention and control (IPC) procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory. Monitor stock levels and report shortages of reagents and supplies. Support emergency response activities when required. Adhere to safety protocols, especially in harsh and remote environments.
