Reports To: Marketing Head Department: Business Development and Marketing A. Main Duties and Responsibilities Conducts market analysis and gathers new market information for the organization. Studies competitors’ market position, pricing, and future plans through comprehensive research and provides timely information to the organization. B. Detailed Duties and Responsibilities Properly understand the organization’s products and services, as well as customer behavior and market dynamics. Develop the technical competence required for the job, gain strong knowledge of the products, and be able to explain their features and characteristics. Study customer preferences; provide timely information when customers show increased interest in a product or shift to another product. (Customer Preference & Augmented Goods) Conduct regular market research and analyze the situation of competing companies, providing necessary information to help the organization stay ahead in the market. Identify and study newly emerging and demanded products in the market. Analyze new competitors entering the market, including their location, capacity, and sales strategies. Conduct and present up-to-date market price studies. Study market demand and supply levels. (Demand) Maintain strong communication with the sales department, collect feedback, investigate causes of customer complaints, and use the findings as input for corrective solutions. Follow up by phone or other appropriate communication methods with customers who received price quotations but did not make a purchase, identify the reasons, and use the information as research input. Prepare and present market research reports to support planning during the budgeting period. Complete performance appraisals for subordinate staff if applicable. Substitute and support other departments when necessary. Work with dedication and loyalty to the organization. Adhere to the organization’s policies and regulations. Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
