The organization focuses on mental health, psychosocial support, and disability inclusion across Ethiopia. NCO works in collaboration with government institutions, health and education sectors, NGOs, and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to serve vulnerable communities, particularly persons with disabilities and individuals affected by psychosocial and mental health challenges. Core Values: Impartiality • Mental Well-being • Advocacy • Partnership • Dedication • Innovation • Compassion About the CADIR Project: The Collective Action for Disability Rights (CADIR) Project, funded by NORAD through Atlas Alliance and directly financed by Youth Mental Health Norway, aims to align national practices with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Implemented by NCO, the project works to enhance access to services for persons with disabilities in Ethiopia through: Human rights and advocacy Inclusive education Organizational development of OPDs Health and rehabilitation services The project addresses the needs of Ethiopia’s 17.6% population living with disabilities, the majority of whom face significant socio-economic barriers. Position Summary: The psychologist will play an active role in screening, assessing, deg, and implementing interventions using a holistic approach to improve the psychological, social, and emotional well-being of beneficiaries. Key Roles and Responsibilities:  The Psychologist will: Assessment & Treatment Planning : Conduct screening and assessments to develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans tailored to beneficiaries' needs. Psycho-education & Counseling : Provide psycho-education and counseling services to beneficiaries and their families to promote mental health and well-being. Family & Group Support : Offer family support, facilitate group therapy sessions, and foster a supportive community environment. Home & School Outreach : Conduct home and school visits as needed to assess environments and provide direct support. Community Engagement : Organize community awareness campaigns and rehabilitation activities to promote inclusivity and understanding. Expert Consultation : Serve as a psychosocial issues expert within the organization, offering guidance and best practices. Inclusivity & Diversity : Ensure all interventions consider diversity and promote equality among beneficiaries. Reporting & Documentation : Prepare monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports to document progress and activities. Record Keeping : Maintain updated records of beneficiaries, including follow-ups, referrals, and case histories. Capacity Building : Contribute to training manual development and deliver capacity-building activities for staff and stakeholders. Safeguarding & Reporting : Report any concerns that may endanger beneficiaries to the Program Manager/Psychosocial support Coordinator to ensure safety and appropriate action. Operational Duties Work assigned shifts, including evenings or weekends when required. Perform additional duties assigned by the organization in line with CADIR project needs. Working hours : Monday to Saturday 8 hours per day (Saturday is when the work demanded)
