Position Title: Multimedia Communication Officer Department/Unit: CDHI Communications and Advocacy Unit Duty Station: Addis Ababa Employment Type: Full Time Contract Duration: one year renewable Application Deadline - March 26, 2026 BACKGROUND The Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science (CDHI) is a Center of Excellence in Digital Health and Implementation Sciences established through collaboration between the University of Gondar and the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. CDHI engages in cutting-edge research, capacity building, and large-scale project implementation in partnership with government institutions, academic bodies, and international organizations. Through its multidisciplinary approach, the Center integrates expertise from health, technology, and data science to drive impactful digital transformation. With its headquarters in Gondar and a coordination office in Addis Ababa, CDHI continues to expand its national and global presence in advancing digital health innovation. POSITION SUMMARY The Multimedia Communication Officer will support the Center’s work by clearly documenting and communicating through high- quality graphic design, video content, and written materials that capture best practices, success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from ongoing projects. The officer will use photography and videography to document events, field activities, and the implementation process, creating human-interest stories and short documentaries that show real impact. The position also involves coordinating the communication team to timely deliver tasks and translating technical work into simple, clear, and engaging content that can be shared with partners, stakeholders, and the wider public. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Document research and implementation activities through photography, videography, and written content Capture events, field work, and project processes to showcase real experiences and lessons learned Produce high-quality graphic design materials for reports, presentations, social media, and campaigns Edit and produce videos, including short clips, human-interest stories, and mini-documentaries Develop content that highlights best practices, success stories, challenges, and key insights from projects Work closely with technical teams to understand activities and translate them into clear, simple communication materials. Coordinate with the communication team to timely deliver tasks. Manage and update the organization’s digital platforms, including social media and website Ensure all communication products follow organizational branding and quality standard Support communication for events, workshops, and campaigns Organize and maintain a library of photos, videos, and communication materials Contribute to regular communication reports and updates
