We design and deploy risk decisioning systems, intelligent financial infrastructure, and market linkage platforms that unlock credit, insurance, payments, and capital access for MSMEs and smallholder farmers. We build the AI, data, and financial infrastructure that helps financial institutions serve hard-to-finance segments at scale. Business Unit Description Capital Solutions is Kifiya’s capital design and capital technology infrastructure practice. The unit structures, mobilizes, and administers blended finance facilities, liquidity platforms, guarantee mechanisms, securitization vehicles, and Islamic finance instruments that expand access to affordable capital for MSMEs and smallholder farmers. By integrating AI driven portfolio analytics, disciplined fund governance, and digital capital infrastructure, Capital Solutions transforms fintech originated assets into investable, scalable funding vehicles. The practice bridges development finance and institutional capital, enabling catalytic capital to crowd in commercial funding and build sustainable, market-based financing ecosystems. Position Summary The Analyst, Research and Markets provides structured analytical, market intelligence, and opportunity development support to the Capital Solutions practice. This role translates strategic capital objectives into actionable research outputs, pipeline insights, financial models, and proposal documentation. The Analyst combines market research rigor, structured problem solving, financial modeling support, and institutional quality writing to enable capital mobilization and new facility design. Key Responsibilities Market and Landscape Analysis Conduct structured research on MSME and agricultural finance gaps across priority markets. • Map capital providers including DFIs, foundations, institutional investors, and Islamic finance institutions. • Map financing instruments including blended finance, guarantee, and structured finance initiatives in target geographies. • Analyze risk return preferences, mandate constraints, and capital allocation behavior. • Produce country level capital landscape briefs to support expansion strategy. • Monitor policy changes, prudential regulation updates, and market developments affecting capital structures. Opportunity Screening and Pipeline Development • Support identification of blended finance liquidity facility, guarantee, securitization, or Sukuk opportunities. • Conduct preliminary opportunity screening including risk assessment and commercial viability analysis. • Prepare opportunity summaries and internal information memos for review by leadership. • Maintain and update a structured pipeline tracker of capital opportunities. Financial Modeling and Structuring Support • Build preliminary financial models, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis. • Translate financial model outputs into narrative insights and structured documentation. • Collaborate with structuring teams to refine economic assumptions and risk calibrations. Proposal Development and Documentation • Draft concept notes, technical proposals, funding proposals, and partnership briefs. • Contribute to preparation of information memoranda and structured finance documentation. • Ensure proposals align with DFI and institutional investor requirements. • Coordinate internal inputs from other Kifiya departments for proposal development • Ensure submission compliance with funder guidelines and quality standards. Strategic Analysis and Thought Leadership • Conduct thematic research on blended finance innovation, securitization frameworks, Islamic finance trends, and capital market transition models. • Contribute to white papers, policy briefs, and thought leadership publications. • Support benchmarking of Kifiya’s capital structures against global best practices. • Develop structured analyses to inform strategic decision making. Data Synthesis and Executive Reporting • Translate complex market data into concise executive ready presentations. • Develop structured slides, charts, and visualizations for board and investor audiences. • Ensure analytical outputs are clear, defensible, and evidence based. • Maintain a centralized repository of research outputs and market intelligence. Key Outputs • Quality and timeliness of research deliverables. • Pipeline opportunities identified and advanced to structuring stage. • Accuracy and robustness of financial model support. • Executive satisfaction with clarity and rigor of analytical outputs. • Contribution to thought leadership and strategic positioning.
