Company Overview Senait Ethiopia Tours is an Ethiopian-owned tour company that has been operating since 2008. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring strict adherence to Ethiopian tax laws, and preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards. You will play a key role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring regulatory compliance with the Ministry of Revenues. Key Responsibilities Financial Record Keeping: Record daily financial transactions and maintain the General Ledger using Peachtree/Sage 50. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file monthly tax returns, including VAT, Withholding Tax, and Employment Income Tax via the e-tax portal. Payroll Management: Process monthly payroll, ensuring accurate calculations of staff pensions (7%/11%) and income tax. Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage accounts receivable/payable. Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (Statement of Financial Position, Profit & Loss), and have proven experience with the MOR E-Tax and TASS System. Audit Readiness: Organize financial documents and provide necessary support for annual external audits. Property Management: Maintain an updated Fixed Asset Register.
