Operations Manager (Furniture Industry)
Description
Job Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all production, factory, and operational activities to ensure efficient manufacturing, quality output, timely delivery, and cost control. The role connects production, supply chain, quality control, and showroom/distribution operations. Key Responsibilities Production & Factory Management Plan and supervise daily production activities (home furniture & office furniture lines) Ensure production targets are met on time Coordinate with Design Team for new product development Monitor workflow from raw material to finished goods Quality Control Ensure all products meet company quality standards Work closely with Quality Control team (QC 1 & QC 2) Reduce defects, rework, and material waste Inventory & Supply Chain Manage raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods Coordinate with procurement for timely material availability Avoid stock shortages and overstocking Logistics & Distribution Oversee delivery schedules to showrooms Ensure proper dispatch and installation coordination Manage transportation and delivery teams Showroom & Operations Coordination Ensure availability of display products in showrooms Align factory production with showroom demand Work closely with Sales &Marketing team Cost Control & Efficiency Monitor operational costs (materials, labor, transport) Improve productivity and reduce wastage Implement cost-saving strategies Team Leadership Supervise factory workers, supervisors, and operational staff Train and develop employees Ensure discipline, safety, and teamwork Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure safe working environment in factory Follow ISO standards and operational procedures Maintain cleanliness and organized layout Reporting 1, Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports: Production reports Inventory reports Delivery performance 2, Report to General Manager Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Production efficiency (output vs target) Product quality (defect rate) On-time delivery rate Cost reduction percentage Inventory turnover Employee productivity Location: Addis Ababa Employment Type: Full-time Company: Eb yes Furniture Deadline: April 10,2026
