Sanitary Engineer

Job Description  Design & Planning Design water supply, drainage, sewerage, and stormwater systems. Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and technical specifications. Ensure designs meet local standards and project requirements. Coordinate with architects and structural engineers for system integration. Project Implementation & Supervision Supervise installation of plumbing and sanitation systems on-site. Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications. Monitor contractor performance and workmanship quality. Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance.  Testing & Commissioning Inspect and test all sanitary systems before handover. Ensure proper functioning of water supply and drainage systems. Identify and resolve defects or system inefficiencies.  Material & Cost Control Review and approve plumbing materials and equipment. Ensure materials meet quality standards and specifications. Assist in cost estimation and budget control.  Maintenance & Troubleshooting Provide solutions for plumbing and sanitation issues during construction. Support post-construction maintenance if required.  Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with Ethiopian building codes, water regulations, and safety standards. Maintain proper documentation and approvals. Promote safe working practices on-site.  Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and consultants. Prepare progress reports and technical documentation. Communicate project issues and recommendations clearly. Carry out other tasks as assigned
