As part of our 2026 strategic transformation, we have established a new, centralized Project and Performance Council (PPC) to enhance governance, performance monitoring, and execution excellence across our six key subsidiaries: OVID Construction, OVID Real Estate, Kavod Commercial, OVID Road, OVID Aluminum Formwork, and OVID Respan Design. The Council operates with 65 professionals across Leadership, Construction Operations Directorate, and Engineering Services Directorate, including a state-of-the-art Project Control Situation Room. We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join this new council and help us deliver projects that shape the nation. ABOUT THE JOB: We are seeking experienced Senior Planning Engineers to join the Project Performance Monitoring Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing master schedules for some of the largest construction projects in the country. Your expertise in Primavera P6 will be crucial for monitoring progress, identifying potential delays, and providing the critical schedule intelligence that keeps our projects on time across a portfolio exceeding 100 Billion ETB. Job Summary Location:  Addis Ababa Deadline:  March 19th, 2026 Career Level:  Senior Employment Type:  Full-time Number of People Required:  3 Reports to:  Project Performance Monitoring Manager Duties and Responsibilities 1. Schedule Development & Maintenance: Develop, update, and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 for assigned projects. Ensure schedules are logically sequenced, incorporate all key activities, and reflect realistic durations and dependencies. Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule. Maintain baseline schedules and track all approved changes and revisions. 2. Schedule Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor schedule progress regularly, analyzing critical paths, float consumption, and key milestone achievement. Identify potential delays, schedule slippages, and risk areas, providing early Situationning to the Project Performance Monitoring Manager. Conduct regular schedule risk analysis and what-if scenarios to support decision-making and contingency planning. Perform delay analysis to determine root causes and impacts of schedule deviations. 3. Performance Reporting: Prepare and present clear schedule performance reports, including S-curves, Gantt charts, and critical path analyses. Support the earned value analysis process by providing accurate schedule performance data (SPI). Contribute to monthly project performance dashboards and executive reports. Prepare look-ahead schedules and recovery schedules as needed. 4. Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with project teams to validate progress, refine schedule logic, and address scheduling challenges. Support project managers in developing recovery plans for delayed projects. Provide scheduling expertise and guidance to junior planning engineers and project staff. Liaise with the Situation Room team to ensure accurate schedule data integration. 5. Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of scheduling standards, templates, and procedures.
