The Senior Accountant at Blue Elephant Fiberboard Manufacturing Plc will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This full-time position requires a seasoned professional with 5-8 years of experience in accounting, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. The Senior Accountant will work in an office environment in the South Ethiopia Regional State Buie, contributing to the effective management of financial transactions and records. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and forecasts to assist in decision-making. Record, post, and close accounts using Peachtree software, ensuring timely and accurate financial data. Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies. Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local and national regulations. Assist in budgeting and financial planning processes by providing accurate financial data. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting. Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with regulatory and audit requirements. Train and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team performance and knowledge.
