It also produces wood and concrete lacquers as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industry.   Job Summary:   The Assistant of EHS and Engineering oversees preventive and breakdown maintenance of all machinery, manages spare parts and consumables. The role ensures full compliance with EHS legal standards by conducting safety and EMS training, tracking certifications, and maintaining 5S standards. The Assistant manager also supervises waste disposal practices, prepares and updates monthly operational and compliance reports, and coordinates with internal teams and external vendors to support smooth operations and continuous improvement.        Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia     Required No.: 1                                                                               Job Type: Full-Time     MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES     Preventive and Break Down maintenance of all equipment   Draw up Annual Preventive maintenance schedule and ensure compliance to the schedule.  Tracking Machine breakdown hours, analyzing and reduce machine downtime.  Managing the spare parts purchase and consumables and storage   Maintain critical spares of machineries to reduce machine downtime.  Purchase of consumables and safety accessories (PPE)  Execution of CAPEX related project works   Tracking and executing in principle sanction CAPEX proposals  Regular tracking and monitoring with suppliers and vendors to implement approved CAPEX.  Draw up yearly CAPEX proposals.  Negotiate initial prices of Capex projects with vendors before forwarding to immediate supervisor.  Compliance to EHS standards   To ensure that the unit is in compliance with the Legal requirements on Safety, Health and environment activities.  Conduct relevant EMS training for the employees.  Conduct First AID training for the employees.  Monthly tracking on legal compliance and renewal of License, Certificates and permits accordingly.  Up keeping of 5S standards in exterior and interior areas.  Disposal of waste   Waste disposed in line with Legal requirements and in environment friendly manner.   Ensure no Reported violations from Ethiopia municipality on disposal of waste.    SECONDARY OF ALLIED JOB RESPONSIBILITY     Tracking, updating and compliance to monthly reports   Tracking all monthly reports and ensure updating or sending of reports on time.  Updating monthly reports to IBU like TOP report, ETP discharge permits, the country Statutory compliance, Carbon footprint report, Monitoring and measurements of waste generation and disposal etc., and sent to immediate supervisor on time.  Updating internal reports like Preventive Maintenance schedule, Breakdown hours, Machine running hours, Overtime details, Accident analysis, Monitoring of Dip well, Power and water consumption, and sent to Immediate supervisor.  Raising purchase order, Cash purchase details, Returnable gate pass details etc., and sent to finance department.  Monitoring and follow up activities.   Renewal of Annual maintenance contract  Tracking of all AMC related activities, follow up and get work done.  Calibration of all weighing balances and measuring equipment on time.  Load test inspection of all lifting equipment.  Monitoring of irrigation activities.    Miscellaneous activities   Conducting Safety training and EMS training in Toolbox Talk.  Maintenance of all training related documents.  Manufacturing of display boards and fixing.
