As Ethiopia’s premier livestock producer, ELFORA is dedicated to optimizing its large-scale dairy farm operations to reach global benchmarks in milk productivity and herd health. Based at our headquarters in Addis Ababa, the consultant will provide strategic technical leadership to enhance the efficiency and output of our specialized dairy farms. Key Responsibilities Farm Productivity Optimization: Develop and implement strategic frameworks to maximize raw milk yield per cow through advanced herd management practices. Herd Health & Genetics: Provide expert guidance on breeding programs, genetic improvement, and comprehensive veterinary protocols to ensure a high-performing herd. Nutritional Strategy: Design precision feeding and forage production programs tailored to high-yielding dairy breeds. Operational Diagnosis: Conduct rigorous assessments of existing farm infrastructures, labor discipline, and resource utilization to identify and bridge operational gaps. Modernization & Technology: Advise on the integration of modern farm management software and mechanized milking systems to ensure data-driven decision-making. Capacity Building: Mentor farm managers and technical staff on global best practices in animal welfare, bio-security, and proactive farm maintenance.
