About this opportunity
Software Production System (SPS) drives Ericsson’s ambition to provide a world-class software production system — empowering BCSS R&D to stay ahead in developing Cloud Native products for 5G and 6G. SPS ensures a modern, secure, and efficient Development Environment built on cloud platforms, telecom networks, software pipelines, lab infrastructure, and tools.
Focus areas include Platform Engineering, Golden Paths, GenAI, and IT Security.
There is a collaboration between all RnD units in Ericsson in the IT development environment domain called RnD IT.
We are now looking for a Product Development Leader lead the RnD IT work representing BCSS in these forums but also drive the internal work within BCSS
What you will do:
Lead and chair R&D IT governance forums, including regular ACT meetings and the R&D IT Security Standards working group. Prepare agendas, materials and decisions; coordinate requests and communications; and represent the R&D IT community across relevant forums. Define, maintain and communicate R&D IT security standards and guidelines, ensuring alignment with ISR/SRM and contributing to security reviews. Represent R&D IT in system management and service assessment meetings, providing updates, input to backlog and system management priorities, and participating in IT service reviews and peer assessments. Advocate for continuous improvement across R&D IT governance and service delivery, coaching stakeholders and providing ad hoc support across BCSS, BNEW and EIT. Participate in BCSS architecture and governance communities (including architecture, portfolio and system management forums), contributing to planning, review and alignment activities. Produce and maintain key BCSS R&D documentation and frameworks (service anatomy, applicability criteria, system architecture templates and information architecture), and support their adoption across the R&D IT community. Provide subject-matter expertise on IT asset management, system governance for production environments and pipelines, and other strategic R&D IT initiatives.
The skills you bring:
MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of experience in software development, R&D, or architecture roles. Strong understanding of Cloud Native development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Experience deg or managing development environments and tools for large-scale engineering teams. Familiarity with IT Security and infrastructure governance. Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills in English.
