Senior Data engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a passion for analytics engineering to join the Data Engineering team (DAIM). This team builds the pipelines and datasets that power insights and product features across some of our clients most widely used surfaces such as Connect, Jam, and partner integrations (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, smart devices, and gaming consoles), as well as data products that enable our Studio-wide metrics reporting and analysis.What you’ll doStrategically lead the ownership, maintenance, and improvement of complex, high-impact data pipelines and critical datasets central to understanding our ubiquity product offerings (e.g. Desktop, TV, partnerships, games consoles) and new product developments (e.g. social listening, ubiquity video playback).Design, architect, and implement high-quality, scalable, and robust data pipelines that define PPX’s core metrics and empower advanced downstream analytics and data science modeling.Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our core data infrastructure, setting best practices and standards for the team.Oversee and mentor the development and automation of metrics reporting and sophisticated analytics tooling, ensuring accuracy and operational efficiency.Act as a key technical partner and technical lead, collaborating closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Engineering leaders to anticipate data needs, define technical requirements, and deliver innovative solutions to the organization’s most challenging data problems.Who you areYou have extensive, hands-on experience deg and building reliable, scalable, and optimized data pipelines—ideally leveraging Scala, SQL/dbt, and GCP services.You enjoy mentoring more junior Data Engineers and collaborating with Data Scientists and stakeholders to translate highly complex business requirements into robust, elegant data models and reliable, well-governed data assets.You're comfortable architecting and scaling backend systems that ingest, transform, and efficiently serve data at high volumes.You have deep expertise in cloud-based data infrastructure, understanding complex trade-offs around performance, scale, cost, and security.You are a quick learner, good at navigating different contexts, understanding problem spaces and proposing solutions.You actively drive code quality standards, promote best practices for testability and maintainability across the team, and proactively look for opportunities to implement significant process improvements for your team.You bring exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, thriving as a technical leader in highly cross-functional environments.Start: ASAPLength: 6 months (Parental leave) - Might be extended.
