RPG Developer

Industry: Fintech/BankingSummary: We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer to join a prominent global Fintech firm. The ideal candidate will bring over 5 years of experience in the RPGLE programming language, with strong skills in SQL, encryption, and familiarity with IBMi architecture. This role involves contributing to a variety of banking and fintech services, requiring collaboration in a remote environment following initial onboarding in Åland/Finland.Main Responsibilities:Develop and maintain applications using RPGLE.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.Implement and maintain database solutions using SQL.Ensure system security measures are upheld with encryption protocols.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide timely project updates.Contribute to the design and architecture of banking solutions.Support integration of REST APIs where applicable.Document development processes and maintain code quality.Key Requirements:Minimum 5+ years of experience in RPGLE programming language.Proficiency with RPG, SQL, encryption, TLS/SSL, SSH, and IBMi MQ.Knowledge of IBMi architecture.Familiarity with Jira and Scrum/Agile methodologies.Strong command of English, both oral and written.Domain knowledge in deposits (accounts) and banking.Nice to Have:Experience in additional programming languages beyond RPG.Knowledge of REST APIs.Other Details: This is a full-time, remote position with an immediate start date. Onboarding will occur in Åland/Finland for the first week, after which the role will be 100% remote. The contract is flexible, with a one-month notice period.
