We are looking for a Staff Engineer to our client.Start: ASAPLength: 6 months with possible extensionLocation: Stockholm hybridAbout the engagementOur client is developing a new digital therapy platform designed to operate across several markets and user groups. The ambition is to gradually replace multiple existing systems with one unified solution. The platform will include capabilities for video‑ and chat‑based therapy, along with self‑guided treatment modules, serving both clinicians and end‑users.What you’ll doYou will take on a hands‑on technical leadership role, acting as the anchor for the new architecture. The client needs someone who can make early architectural decisions, deliver an initial version quickly, and set a clear direction that senior engineers can continue building on.• Shape the architectural foundation for a multi‑market, multi‑tenant platform aligned with a long‑term expansion strategy.• Define approaches for data modelling, service boundaries, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and access control.• Set up authentication flows and enable early self‑service options for different markets and internal teams.• Maintain close communication with stakeholders to create transparency and trust throughout the build.• Document architectural choices and ensure the platform remains adaptable as it grows.• Lead a group of senior full‑stack engineers working to strengthen the client’s digital therapy offering.Key requirements• Background as a lead developer in cloud‑native environments.• Deep experience with both AWS (Azure is a plus).• Proven ability to design new architectures that integrate with existing systems.• Strong understanding of regulated multi‑tenant SaaS, ideally with experience from healthcare.• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.• Competence in Typescript and experience with React.• Familiarity with external video technology providers.• Experience working in distributed, multi‑system environments.Nice to have• Experience developing solutions within the health space.• Knowledge of ISO 27001.• Familiarity with React Native.Other detailsThe client is consolidating three different systems into one unified platform and is moving toward AWS as the preferred hosting environment. The immediate priority is strengthening the web experience to meet customer demands. You will be working alongside a team of senior engineers dedicated to modernising and improving digital therapy services.
