emagine is looking for a skilled IT Operations Specialist with extensive experience in managing Oracle Database and ETL solutions. The successful candidate will possess strong operational knowledge and proactive capabilities in ensuring high performance and reliability within a DevOps framework. A background in ITIL practices and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and supporting complex database environments is essential. This role is suited for senior or expert-level professionals who can take ownership of operational tasks, enhance system performance, and ensure seamless business delivery.Main responsibilitiesAs an IT Operations Specialist, you will:Take full, hands-on ownership from business delivery readiness to production run, ensuring operational excellence and efficiencyProvide daily operational support, including monitoring, problem management, and root cause analysisCollaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and business stakeholdersDrive clear, timely communication with all relevant parties regarding incidents, resolutions and ongoing operational mattersConduct system health checks and preventive maintenanceAccept, analyze, and resolve support tickets for Oracle DB and ETL solutionMonitor database and ETL job performance, system health and business process flowsManage incident response and coordinate efforts during critical issuesExecute database and ETL deployments according to ITIL processesCoordinate release activities across multiple environments (Pre-Prod, Production)Perform post-deployment verification and rollback procedures when necessaryPerform root cause analysis and maintaining a knowledge base for recurring issues.Key requirementsThe ideal candidate must possess:ITIL Foundation certification5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle DB and ETL operations and support, including proficiency in writing and optimizing database queriesStrong knowledge of Oracle architecture, performance, and database administrationExperience with Linux infrastructure and familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) as well as database change management tools (Liquibase, Flyway, etc.)Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#Experience with monitoring tools and alerting systems (e.g., Splunk).Nice to HaveExperience in financial services or banking applications (huge advantage)Experience leveraging AI capabilities like GitHub Copilot to streamline and improve operational workflowsStart date: 20.03.2026End date: 20.06.2026Location: Greater Copenhagen AreaWorkload: 100%Remote/onsite: 2 days onsite, 3 days remoteNumber of consultants: 2
