Senior AS400 / AIX Architect

Senior AS400 / AIX ArchitectWe are looking for an experienced AS400 (IBM i) Architect with strong AIX competencies to support and further develop our clients enterprise infrastructure landscape. The consultant will play a key architectural role, ensuring stability, scalability, and modernization of the AS400 and AIX environments.Main ResponsibilitiesAct as architectural lead for AS400 (IBM i) and AIX platformsDesign, maintain, and optimize AS400 and AIX infrastructure solutionsProvide architectural guidance on system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiativesEnsure high availability, performance, security, and compliance of the platformsCollaborate with operations, application teams, and external vendorsTroubleshoot complex issues and provide expert-level supportDocument architecture, standards, and best practicesSupport capacity planning and long-term roadmap definitionKey RequirementsStrong hands-on and architectural experience with AS400 / IBM iStrong experience with AIX operating systemsSolid understanding of enterprise infrastructure architectureExperience with system integration, performance tuning, and high-availability setupsAbility to work independently and take ownership of architectural decisionsStrong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersNice to HaveExperience in large enterprise or logistics environmentsKnowledge of modernization or migration projects involving legacy platformsFamiliarity with security, compliance, and enterprise governance standardsOther DetailsThis role requires a minimum of 3 days onsite per week in Greater Copenhagen Area, with remaining days remote. The start date is ASAP, with a duration of 3 months and an option for extension.
