A a global investment advisor with a long‑standing reputation for value‑driven equity strategies is seeking an Applications Analyst to join its growing Technology organization. This role sits within a 9‑person Application Development & Support team, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, and plays a critical part in supporting and enhancing systems used by investment, trading, and operational teams. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and implement new business applications supporting investment and trading workflows. • Enhance existing systems to drive performance, automation, and error reduction. • Work collaboratively with Investment, Trading, and Operations teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Participate in a support rotation (~every 6-7 weeks), providing coverage for critical applications. • Contribute across the full SDLC including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Qualifications • 5+ years of software development experience (minimum requirement). • Strong proficiency in SQL, including programming, modeling, and database design (SQL Server). • Hands‑on experience with C# or Java for back‑end development (either acceptable). • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage directly with business stakeholders. • Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical capabilities. • Ability to collaborate within a small, high‑performance technical team.
