Fund Accountant | New York, NY, USA | In-Office

We are supporting a leading global multi-billion dollar investment management firm in the search for a mid-level Fund Accountant to join their New York office. This role sits in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, working closely with internal teams, external service providers and stakeholders across multiple time zones. It offers broad exposure across fund accounting, fund operations and investor reporting, with a particular focus on hedge fund structures. The position will take ownership of reviewing NAVs, fund allocations, investor activity and fund expenses, while also overseeing key work produced by third-party administrators. There is a strong technical element to the role, particularly around management and performance fees, partnership and investor allocations, financial reporting and the interpretation of fund documentation. The successful individual will also be involved in reviewing annual financial statements, coordinating with auditors and administrators, supporting due diligence requests, and contributing to management reporting. Alongside the day-to-day, there is an opportunity to help improve processes, controls and overall efficiency across the function. We are particularly interested in candidates with 5–8 years’ experience in fund accounting, with strong hedge fund experience and the ability to operate confidently in a dynamic environment. This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, technically strong, organised and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.
