About the role

As a Business Engineer, you bring together a unique blend of business and technological expertise to help our clients drive business value and operational excellence. You'll work at the crossroads of business, technology, and processes, solving real-world challenges across exciting industries.

You are hands-on with technology and understand business and process context deeply to build solutions that solve problems at scale. You'll consult stakeholders, analyse challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and turn them into concrete, value-adding, and transformational outcomes. You support client's business stakeholders by enabling data-driven decision-making by building business case analyses, dashboards, and KPIs hands-on. You also drive impact by bridging communication between business teams and technical implementers to ensure changes are delivered effectively.

You will be backed by a team of entrepreneurial, technically brilliant colleagues from diverse backgrounds, from software to business and data engineering. You'll exchange ideas and learn from one another every day.

What we're looking for

• Experience in analysing stakeholder needs, identifying business process inefficiencies, and proposing effective solutions
• Hands-on experience in Business Process Modelling, Management, Automation or Re-engineering
• Proven track record in building data-driven solutions hands-on, with measurable business impact, such as business intelligence, analytics and operational dashboards
• Understanding of the full data lifecycle, from collection, raw data to insights, actions and outcomes
• Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and communicate clearly with also non-technical audiences
• Understanding of Python, SQL, R or similar programming languages, although programming is not expected in this role
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills
• MSc in Industrial Engineering, Information Networks, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Professional-level communication and presentation skills in both Finnish and English
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new business technology platforms and tools

The following is considered a plus:

• Experience with process automation and orchestration tools, such as Celonis, Make.com, n8n, Power Automate, Camunda or UiPath
• Experience in building analytics and process mining capabilities with platforms such as Power BI, Fabric, Tableau, Celonis, Power Platform Process Mining, QPR Process Mining, SAP Signavio or similar
• Knowledge of some of the following methodologies and frameworks: value engineering, Lean Six Sigma, TOGAF, BPMN, or similar
• Previous consulting experience
