Your Impact: We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to lead technical design and delivery of our next-generation data platform and data products. The role will be adapted based on your experience, enthusiasm and skills but you'll help translate architectural strategy into concrete designs and implementations within a global team. This role plays a key part in shaping AI-driven analytics by ensuring strong technical execution and platform reliability within the OpenText Business Network business unit. We are interested in recent practical experience working with data warehouse/lake/lakehouse platforms, especially Databricks.

What The Role Offers:

• Enthusiastic and supportive team from various backgrounds locally in Tampere and globally in USA, Canada, and India.
• Lead end-to-end data product design, including data ingestion, processing pipelines, transformations and definitions.
• Collaborate with product, architecture and engineering leaders to ensure delivery aligns with architectural standards and business goals.
• Establish best practices for data product development, governance, and reliability.
• Own delivery outcomes for the team's data platform initiatives, including quality, performance, and reliability in production.
• Contribute to and evolve the architecture for large-scale data and analytics systems, owning design decisions within the team's scope.
• Support integration of AI/ML models for predictive analytics and optimization in collaboration with platform and ML teams.
• Mentor engineering teams and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in AI, cloud computing, and supply chain management.

What You Need To Succeed:

• Curiosity and a forward-looking mindset to build great data products.
• Significant data engineering experience, including experience in senior or lead data engineering roles.
• Working experience with data platform technologies (like Databricks, Snowflake, Spark) and ability to guide the team with technical direction and best practises.
• Experience in building scalable data products preferably in supply chain or enterprise analytics domains.
• Good communication skills with the ability to guide technical direction within the team and collaborate effectively with adjacent teams.
• Experience in AI-assisted development.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals

Nice To Have:

• Exposure to AI/ML integration in data platforms.
• Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, GCP, dbt, Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with enterprise data standards (ODPS, ORD)
