Chief Engineer (Data Centre Critical Operations)
Role summary:
The Chief Engineer is the senior hands-on facilities leader responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical and mechanical (E/M) infrastructure within a large-scale data centre in Finland. This role owns the preventative maintenance program and annual maintenance calendar, leads day-to-day critical facilities execution, coordinates vendors and service partners, and takes command during Electrical & Mechanical incidents and outages, driving rapid restoration, clear reporting, rigorous documentation, and root-cause elimination.
You will mentor and develop shift engineers, partner closely with IT Hardware/Networking teams on operational readiness and RCA, and collaborate with the Site Director and functional leads to deliver flawless, always-on operations while also supporting data centre expansion and E/M infrastructure design improvements.
