Role: L2 Support Engineer for Telecom OSS Plan & Build (HCL Domino 12)

Join a high-performing telecom engineering team as a DevOps Engineer, where you will drive CI/CD automation, infrastructure modernization, and operational excellence across BSS/OSS systems. You will work on large-scale telecom platforms including billing, CRM, provisioning, and network management while enabling faster releases, high availability, and resilient operations. This role offers deep exposure to Kubernetes, cloud environments, automation frameworks, monitoring tools, and multi-vendor telecom ecosystems in an Agile and DevOps-driven environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Domino application health (server tasks, logs, replication status, agent schedules); triage incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), deliver fixes/workarounds, and update KEDB/runbooks.
  • Lead major incident bridges; coordinate with Domino admins, application owners, and integration teams; provide clear communications on impact/ETA.
  • Enforce RBAC via Domino ACLs, implement field‑level protections (masking/encryption where applicable), and maintain audit trails for access/change events.
  • Support Impact Assessments (PIA), maintain data processing inventories, and prepare evidence for internal/external audits.
  • Manage controlled changes to HCL Domino 12 design elements (Forms, Views, Agents), environment configs, and package deployments to various environments
  • Implement code fixes and utilities using LotusScript, Java (Domino Java APIs), and JavaScript (XPages or Node.js sidecars for services/integrations)
  • Track L2/L3 tickets for complex defects; supply reproducible cases, logs, and test scripts; validate vendor/engineering patches
  • Administer and periodically review ACLs/roles for least privilege; maintain signer IDs, certificates, cross‑certification hygiene.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

Must have:

  • HCL Domino 12 / Lotus Notes operations: server tasks, replication, ACLs, design elements
  • LotusScript development & troubleshooting: Agents, scheduled jobs, error handling, structured logging.
  • Java (Domino Java APIs) and JavaScript (XPaes/Node.js sidecars) for fixes, integrations, and support utilities.
  • & security controls: RBAC via ACLs, audit logging, data classification (Personal/Traffic/Location)
  • ITIL L2 support: incident lifecycle, RCA authoring, problem records, change governance/CAB participation.
  • Data & directory concepts: NSF design, views/indexes, Notes Address Book (names.nsf), device identifiers (serial/MAC), barcode/QR/RFID data handling.
  • Observability: log analysis, agent performance profiling, capacity planning for Domino servers; familiarity with error budgets/SLOs.

Good to have:

  • Experience integrating with ServiceNow/JIRA (ticketing, CMDB updates).
  • Knowledge of TM Forum frameworks (eTOM for service management) and OSS inventory principles.
  • Scripting for Ops automation (Bash/PowerShell/Python) and light CI/CD for packaging design elements.
  • Exposure to barcode/RFID hardware ecosystems (Zebra/Honeywell) and mobile device management (MDM/EMM).
