Fullstack Developer (Founding Employee)

Location: Helsinki HQ (Hybrid, 2-3 days/week). We are also open to fully remote candidates for those living outside the Helsinki area. About Us We are Starstuff. We are a compact team split between tech and business, building the world's first AI-powered social platform for playable content. Think TikTok meets Roblox, powered by AI, and shaped by Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

We aren't just making another app. We are inventing a new content format: instant, social, playable creation - at the speed of memes. We have caught lightning in a bottle: 1.5M+ users, 80K+ creators, and 35M+ views on social. Now, we need to turn this viral explosion into a stable, scalable platform without slowing down innovation. The Role We need a Fullstack Developer who doesn't just write code - someone who sees the entire system, from database to pixels, from API contract to UI dopamine loop. You are a builder who can ship fast, fix fast, and learn even faster.

You will:

• Bridge our magical frontend experiences with the backend infrastructure that keeps millions of users playing.
• Own features end-to-end - from database schema to pixel-perfect UI.
• Build real-time, low-latency tools that allow creators to generate and play instantly.
• Shape APIs, data flows, and architecture while collaborating directly with founders, product, and design.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern fullstack development (e.g., Node.js / Go / Python backend + Svelte / React / Vue frontend).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, databases, and API design.
• Understanding of real-time web app constraints (latency, state, synchronization).
• Startup mindset: flexible, low ego, adaptable, and ready to shift direction fast.
• Team spirit: you co-create, contribute, and make decisions collaboratively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SvelteKit (major plus).
• Familiarity with WebGL or 3D libraries in a fullstack context.
• Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time sync fundamentals.
• Interest in integrating generative AI into modern web apps.
