Join the Core Team of a Ongoing Data Center Project
We’re building the foundation of a new compute-focused data center in Riihimäki, Finland with physical infrastructure, networking, and the custom software that will run and scale it.The groundwork is already in place: servers are online, the site is under construction, and we have 4 MVA of reserved capacity. Now we’re expanding the team with someone who can take real ownership in deg, automating, and operating the systems that keep the data center alive and efficient.
Your Role
As a Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll join a small, high-impact core team working across server automation, network management, and platform development.You’ll help define how our data center operates, from bare-metal provisioning to monitoring and scaling. This is a hands-on technical role with strong ownership and the freedom to shape both tools and practices.
Key responsibilities:
• Design, automate, and manage large-scale Linux-based infrastructure• Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and monitoring systems• Build automation and configuration pipelines (Ansible or similar)• Develop internal management tools and contribute to platform design• Implement and maintain observability (Zabbix, NetBox, or comparable tools)• Ensure operational reliability, security, and scalability across the environment• Participate in long-term infrastructure planning and capacity management• Collaborate with the data center operations team on deployments and upgrades
What We’re Looking For
We value technical depth, curiosity, and independence over formal titles. You might come from system engineering, software development, or infrastructure architecture but what matters most is your ability to make complex systems run reliably in the real world.
(Ideally) You’ll need:
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or large-scale infrastructure• Strong coding or system-design background (Python, Go, or similar)• Deep Linux server administration expertise• Proven experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible or similar)• Familiarity with monitoring and asset-management tools (Zabbix, NetBox, etc.)• Solid grasp of networking and security fundamentals• Experience working with data centers, ISPs, or high-availability environments• Ability to lead projects or initiatives independently, there is no prewritten playbook here.
Work Setup
Location: Riihimäki, Finland (hybrid work possible but on-site presence required at times) Type: Full-time, permanent Compensation: Competitive and based on experience. Start: As soon as a suitable candidate is found but the start date is flexible.

We’re an independent Finnish team building real infrastructure. Servers, power, and software designed for performance, flexibility, and control. Our Riihimäki site targets Tier 2+ → Tier 3 capability, initially focused on compute and HPC workloads with 4 MVA reserved electrical capacity. Everyone who joins now will leave fingerprints on the foundation of a growing, modern data-center operation.
