Performance Media Buyer
Description
About the Role We manage paid media for a portfolio of DTC brands across fashion, beauty, and wellness — all selling into the US market. We're looking for a performance media buyer who owns campaigns end-to-end: strategy, creative briefing, execution, optimization, and direct client communication.
You'll manage 3–4 brands simultaneously with daily budgets ranging from $300 to $5k per account. You'll work US Eastern Time hours, communicate directly with brand owners, and be expected to operate with a high degree of independence and professionalism.
What You'll Do Build, manage, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta and Google (primary), TikTok, Pinterest, and AppLovin (secondary) Develop creative strategy and write briefs for static and video ad formats Analyze performance data and translate it into clear, confident client-facing communication Join bi-weekly client calls and be available for ad hoc questions and urgent requests throughout the week Identify what's working, what's not, and act on it — without waiting to be told Monitor creative fatigue, budget pacing, audience performance, and funnel efficiency across all accounts Collaborate with the internal team via Basecamp — organized, async-first, responsive
What We're Looking For
Experience 2–5 years of hands-on paid media experience for DTC/e-commerce brands Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads — you build, troubleshoot, and scale independently Exposure to TikTok, Pinterest, or AppLovin is a plus Shopify ecosystem familiarity — you can connect backend data to platform performance Familiarity with attribution and reporting tools (TripleWhale, Northbeam, Motion, etc.) is a bonus; understanding the underlying concepts is the baseline
Communication Full-time availability aligned to US Eastern Time hours Business-fluent English — you hold independent, constructive professional conversations with native speakers without friction Client-facing experience — you can deliver results, flag problems, and manage expectations directly with brand owners Clear, organized written communication — internally on Basecamp and externally with clients
Who you are Humble and coachable — you don't have an ego about being wrong Goal-oriented — you connect your daily work to business outcomes, not just platform metrics Genuinely hungry to grow — you stay close to what's changing on the platforms and bring ideas, not just updates
Compensation $1,500–$2,500/month base (based on experience) Performance bonus tied to results
Dealbreaker If you can't communicate proactively, take feedback constructively, and hold yourself accountable without micromanagement — this role isn't for you. Skills can be developed. Character can't.
