Senior AQA Engineer with JS

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region, Mobilunity is looking for a Senior AQA Engineer for a long-term engagement.

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

The Senior AQA Engineer will play a key role in establishing and scaling automated testing practices across digital products. Working closely with the AQA Tech Lead and development teams, this role focuses on improving test coverage, framework quality, and CI/CD integration to ensure high software quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: Test Automation Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web and API layers Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into reliable automated test cases Framework & Tooling Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of automation frameworks Research and introduce tools and best practices to improve test efficiency CI/CD & Quality Gates Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with platform teams to optimize test execution in deployment flows Reporting & Defect Management Analyze test results and report quality status to stakeholders Identify, track, and support resolution of defects Collaboration Work closely with AQA Tech Lead, developers, and product teams Share automation knowledge and promote testing best practices

Requirements: Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer Strong experience with API testing Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, WebdriverIO, or similar Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have: Experience building automation frameworks from scratch Background in banking or financial services
