SAP Security Consultant (SAP HANA)

Role: SAP Security Consultant (SAP HANA) Location: North Carolina (Onsite) Experience: 12+ Years Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Security Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP HANA Security. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in security remediation, testing, and production support, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and compliance with enterprise security standards. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented resource capable of working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities: Act as a client-facing lead for SAP Security initiatives and engagements. Perform security remediation activities and support extensive testing cycles. Conduct security assessments and risk analysis for SAP HANA systems. Design and implement secure SAP HANA architectures. Configure and manage authentication, authorization, and auditing mechanisms. Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and user provisioning. Ensure data security through encryption, masking, and anonymization techniques. Support implementation and production support of SAP HANA Security. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define security requirements. Provide expert guidance on SAP security best practices and compliance standards. Develop and maintain technical documentation and security policies. Monitor and mitigate security vulnerabilities and threats. Stay updated with latest SAP HANA security features and compliance requirements. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience in SAP HANA Security Expertise in SAP Security & Authorization concepts Experience with user roles, profiles, and role design (PFCG) Strong knowledge of authentication, SSO, and access control mechanisms Experience in security remediation and audit support Understanding of data protection techniques (encryption, masking, anonymization) Knowledge of SAP GRC (Access Control, Risk Analysis) Experience with security audits, compliance, and risk mitigation Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Preferred Skills: Experience with SAP S/4HANA Security Knowledge of SAP Fiori Security & Authorization Experience with GRC tools (ARM, ARA, BRM) Familiarity with SOX,, and compliance frameworks Basic knowledge of ABAP for debugging authorization issues Experience in CUA / Identity Management (IdM) Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience working with IBM or large enterprise clients Exposure to cloud security (SAP BTP, HANA Cloud) Knowledge of DevSecOps practices Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
