Systems Administrator

Windows Engineer Onsite - Roanoke, IN 6 month contract with the potential to become FTE. CDW is seeking a Windows Engineer to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, security, and performance while supporting business-critical applications and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Windows-based infrastructure (servers, networking, storage, and cloud) Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum uptime Manage Active Directory, user accounts, and group policies Perform system patching, upgrades, and software installations Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities Support deployment of infrastructure and enterprise applications Maintain documentation for systems and processes Ensure compliance with standards (SOX, PCI, etc.) Participate in on-call support as needed Required Qualifications 3+ years of Windows server administration experience Experience supporting enterprise applications and infrastructure Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Experience with virtualization, networking, and cloud platforms Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Cloud or infrastructure certifications (Azure, AWS, etc.) Experience with security and compliance frameworks Key Skills Windows Server & Microsoft ecosystem Active Directory & Group Policy Virtualization & cloud infrastructure System monitoring & performance tuning Security, patching, and compliance Strong communication and teamwork #dice
