LFACS Subject Matter Expert (SME) - 100% REMOTE

We are seeking a highly experienced LFACS Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in LFACS data structures, attributes, and end-to-end processes, to support and enhance Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) implementations. Location: Remote Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Contract The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business, network operations, and inventory systems, ensuring accurate data modeling, seamless integration, and efficient telecom inventory management. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the LFACS SME, providing in-depth knowledge of LFACS data models, attributes, and workflows Analyze and map LFACS data into Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) systems Support data migration, transformation, and validation from LFACS to BPI Work closely with cross-functional teams including network engineering, OSS/BSS, and operations Define and document data lineage, attribute mapping, and business rules Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across systems Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and integration issues Participate in design discussions, system enhancements, and process optimization Provide guidance on inventory best practices and telecom network modeling Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with LFACS (Loop Facility Assignment and Control System) Deep understanding of LFACS data at the attribute level Experience working with Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) or similar telecom inventory tools Strong knowledge of telecom network inventory, OSS systems, and data modeling Expertise in data mapping, ETL processes, and data migration strategies Familiarity with fiber networks, circuit design, and network topology Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate them into business insights Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Ciena Blue Planet suite Knowledge of GIS systems, network planning tools, or Azure/Google Maps integrations Familiarity with SQL, data validation tools, and scripting languages Previous experience in telecom transformation or inventory modernization projects Key Competencies: Strong analytical and data interpretation skills Ability to work in cross-functional and fast-paced environments Attention to detail, especially at data attribute level accuracy Effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders
