Role: Embedded Software Developer - RDKB Location: Sunnyvale, California Job Type: Contract Interview: Phone/video Job Description We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer with strong expertise in WiFi technologies and RDKB platform development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IEEE802.11 protocols and proven experience in deg, developing, and testing WiFi software features for gateway and extender products. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and test WiFi software features on Comcast WiFi gateway/extender products. Collaborate with vendors to integrate WiFi chipset solutions. Provide technical support to crossfunctional teams for troubleshooting customer WiFi issues. Develop new WiFi features on the RDKB platform. Work on bug fixes, feature enhancements, and troubleshooting activities. Coordinate with offshore team members and present weekly status updates to stakeholders. Mandatory Skills & Proficiencies: Embedded software development using C/C++ . Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and handson experience in Linux environments. Indepth understanding of IEEE802.11/WiFi protocols (WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/ax). Solid grasp of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTP). Familiarity with source version control tools (Git, GitHub). Strong problemsolving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with RDKB platform. 5-15 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
