Job Details Software Developer Backend Java (Contract) Location: Plano, TX / Richmond, VA (Hybrid 3 days onsite) Duration: Long-term Contract Job Description: We are looking for a Backend Java Developer to design, build, and support scalable backend services in a financial services environment. The role involves working closely with engineering leads and Agile teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions. Responsibilities: Participate in daily Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning) Design, develop, and enhance backend services and REST APIs Build scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS Collaborate with engineering leads, stakeholders, and integration partners Support end-to-end delivery across the backend stack Required Skills: Java with Spring / Spring Boot (3+ years) Golang (3+ years) AWS (2+ years) backend cloud development Backend services & API development Databases: MongoDB / Amazon DocumentDB, DynamoDB Strong communication and teamwork skills Nice to Have: Client-facing experience Financial services domain exposure Employers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
