Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Hello Connection, Role: Senior Machine Learning Engineer Location: North Carolina (Hybrid/Onsite) Experience: 13+ Years (Mandatory) Client: State Government Employment Type: Contract Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning solutions supporting critical state government initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in public sector environments, delivering production-grade ML systems, and ensuring compliance with government data security and standards. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on engineering, MLOps expertise, and system integration experience. Key Responsibilities ML Model Development & Deployment Design, build, and deploy machine learning models (classification, regression, NLP, forecasting) Perform feature engineering, model training, tuning, and validation Ensure models are optimized for performance, scalability, and accuracy MLOps & Productionization Build and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines (data ingestion training deployment monitoring) Implement CI/CD pipelines for ML models Manage model versioning, monitoring, retraining, and drift detection Use tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker pipelines Data Engineering & Integration Work with large datasets using Spark, SQL, and distributed data systems Integrate ML solutions with existing state systems and legacy platforms Develop APIs/services to expose ML models Cloud & Infrastructure Deploy ML solutions on AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform Work with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to: State and federal data regulations (HIPAA, CJIS, IRS Pub 1075) Implement: Model explainability Auditability and traceability Follow secure coding and data handling practices Collaboration Work closely with: Data Scientists AI Architects Business stakeholders Translate business requirements into technical ML solutions Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers Required Technical Skills Programming & ML Strong expertise in Python Libraries: TensorFlow PyTorch Scikit-learn Pandas / NumPy Data & Big Data Strong experience with: SQL / NoSQL databases Apache Spark / PySpark Data pipelines (Airflow preferred) MLOps Hands-on experience with: MLflow / Kubeflow CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) Model monitoring & logging Cloud Platforms Experience with: AWS SageMaker / Azure ML Data services (S3, ADLS, BigQuery, etc.) DevOps / Engineering Docker, Kubernetes REST API development Microservices architecture We represent Logisoft Technologies, Inc . with pride; We present ourselves as a premiere Technology, Consulting, Product Development, and Software Services Company.
