Location : Metro Atlanta, GA (LOCAL candidates only) Target Candidates: Recent Undergraduate Graduates MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE) Candidate must be local to Metro Atlanta Tax Clearance Letter is REQUIRED at the time of submission Candidate must be compliant with Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) requirements Submissions without the Tax Clearance Letter will not be considered. Job Summary Under direct supervision, the candidate will: Design, code, test, modify, and debug computer software Research and analyze application or system issues and prepare documentation Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable code Support configuration and maintenance of the GenTax COTS application Work collaboratively in a small team environment This is an excellent opportunity for entry level candidates to begin their software development career in a structured government environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field) 1+ year experience in any.NET programming language 1+ year working knowledge of SQL Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated resiliency and ability to work in a team setting Highly Desired Experience with Microsoft VB.NET Exposure to software development organizations or structured SDLC environments Background & Compliance Background check conducted by the Georgia Department of Revenue Candidates must have no overdue or unpaid taxes Any felony conviction (regardless of how long ago) will disqualify the candidate Fingerprinting is mandatory Candidates must be willing to relocate to Georgia for the duration of the contract if not already residing in the state Please submit: Updated resume Confirmation of local Metro Atlanta residency Confirmation that the Tax Clearance Letter is available at submission
