Job Title : IBM MQ AND Python Developer. Location : Remote Duration : Long Term IBM MQ + Python Developer Role Overview Design, develop, and maintain applications that integrate with IBM MQ (Message Queue) using Python . Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable messaging between distributed systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement messaging solutions for enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities IBM MQ Administration & Development Configure and manage queue managers, channels, and queues . Implement message publishing, subscribing, and consumption workflows. Monitor MQ performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability. Python Development Write Python scripts and applications using PyMQI or the newer ibmmq package for MQ integration. Develop automation tools for message handling, logging, and monitoring . Implement secure connections (TLS/SSL) between Python clients and MQ servers. Integration & Support Work with APIs, microservices, and cloud environments to integrate MQ messaging. Provide production support for MQ-based applications. Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines involving MQ. Required Skills Technical Skills Strong knowledge of IBM MQ concepts (queue managers, channels, topics, subscriptions). Proficiency in Python programming and libraries like PyMQI . Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Soft Skills Analytical thinking and problem-solving. Ability to work in agile teams . Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Prior experience in enterprise integration projects . Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML , and other data formats.
