AI Digital Governance Lead (1099 Contract | Houston Hybrid | $120 $150/hr) Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid No relocation) Type: 1099 Contract (3-year engagement, potential conversion) Rate: $120 $150/hr (cap at $150 non-negotiable) Industry: Energy & Utilities Note: No C2C or sponsorship Overview ElevationHR is hiring an AI Digital Governance Lead to support a large-scale enterprise AI and data transformation within a leading energy organization. This role will lead AI governance, data governance, and responsible AI initiatives , ensuring compliance, data quality, and scalable governance frameworks across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities Lead implementation of AI & data governance frameworks, policies, and standards Drive responsible AI practices (bias mitigation, explainability, model governance) Oversee data quality, metadata, and compliance programs Partner with business, IT, and data teams to enforce governance adoption Conduct risk assessments, audits, and regulatory alignment (NERC CIP,, CCPA) Establish governance KPIs, dashboards, and reporting metrics Support AI model lifecycle governance and performance monitoring Required Experience 10+ years in AI governance, data governance, or enterprise data management Hands-on experience with Monte Carlo (data observability) and Atlan (data catalog/governance) Strong knowledge of: AI governance & ethical AI frameworks Data quality, metadata management, MDM Regulatory compliance (NERC CIP,, CCPA, NIST AI RMF) Experience in cloud environments ( Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform ) Proven ability to work across enterprise stakeholders and leadership teams Preferred Energy or utilities industry experience Experience standing up governance functions from the ground up Why This Role High-impact enterprise AI transformation initiative Long-term 3-year contract with conversion potential Work with executive leadership on AI strategy and governance Modern stack including Monte Carlo & Atlan #AIGovernance #DataGovernance #AIJobs #DataLeadership #HoustonJobs #EnergyJobs #DataQuality #AITransformation #ResponsibleAI #DataManagement #NowHiring #TechJobs #Governance #CloudJobs #AnalyticsLeadership
