Description

Darwin Space is currently hiring for a business in Poland looking for a Mechanical/Propulsion Engineer.

You will play a key role in shaping their core product from early design and requirements definition to final deployment in orbit. In space hardware, every detail matters

  • it’s built on deep technical preparation and careful planning. It’s a demanding role that comes with significant responsibility
  • but also the opportunity to grow and make a real impact.

Your Daily Impact

  • Develop detailed technical specifications and designs for thruster systems.

  • Perform analyses, simulations, and tests to verify thruster component designs.

  • Develop test stands for individual subsystems and entire propulsion system testing, including thrust balance, TVAC stands.

  • Plan and oversee the manufacturing and integration of thruster assemblies.

  • Run comprehensive testing and verification plans for thruster performance.

  • Analyse test results, performance report, and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

  • Assess technology development needs and drive market readiness efforts.

Experience

  • ⁠Hands-on experience in planning and executing tests in laboratory conditions.

  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams

  • Space industry experience, especially in the field of propulsion systems, is a strong plus
