Job Title: BAS Programmer (Building Automation Systems)
Location: Memphis, TN Contract Type: Short-term Contract Start Date: Immediate Project Deadline: ASAP through mid-April Schedule: Up to ~50 hours/week Vehicle: Company vehicle may be available (safety training required); otherwise, rental vehicle included
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced BAS Programmer for a time-sensitive building automation project in Memphis, TN. This is a critical role supporting a full controls upgrade, including new system programming, integrations, and front-end graphics. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in JCI Facility Explorer (FX) and Niagara 4, with strong hands-on experience configuring and integrating JACE controllers under compressed timelines.
This role requires immediate availability and the ability to execute independently with minimal ramp-up.
Must-Have Technical Qualifications
- Proven experience programming JCI Facility Explorer (FX)
- Strong working knowledge of Niagara 4
- Hands-on experience with JACE configuration and integration
- Completion of First-Level Tridium Niagara training (or equivalent practical experience)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Key Responsibilities
- Program and configure BAS systems using JCI Facility Explorer (FX)
- Configure, integrate, and commission JACE controllers
- Duplicate and deploy VAV applications efficiently across the system
- Link control points, networks, and field devices
- Build, edit, and refine BAS graphics and front-end views
- Perform integration work within Niagara, including third-party systems as required
- Support full controls upgrade efforts, including:
- Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and validation during system rollout
- Collaborate with installers and commissioning personnel to resolve field issues
- Maintain clean, documented, and scalable programming standards
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Broader BAS integration experience beyond core HVAC systems
- Familiarity with multiple control system protocols and architectures
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality programming under compressed timelines
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Technical Environment
Travel Requirements
- Primary work location in Memphis, TN
- Possible minor travel to a nearby industrial site (expected to be limited and typically programmer-focused)

- Immediate need for a qualified BAS Programmer
- Engagement expected to run through mid-April, with potential extension
- Weekly hours may exceed standard 40-hour workweeks
- Must be eligible to work under prevailing wage projects
- Per diem provided per GSA Tennessee guidelines
