Customer in trucks and buses in Mälardalen needs a consultant reinforcement. The customer, who is in Södertälje, has a need of a consultant to lead a pre-study, and potentially also perform the investment project, regarding a line system expansion.

Within the scope of an extensive layout work currently underway to ensure a production capacity in 2027 it has become clear that our customers current line system does not fully meet future needs. The analysis shows that the existing equipment and current flows either need to be significantly expanded or replaced with new system solutions.

To enable a well-informed decision on the future direction, a feasibility study shall be carried out. The study should provide a decision-making basis that allows a PEIP project to be initiated for procurement, installation, and commissioning of the new or expanded equipment. The directive also includes presenting a timeline, risk analysis, and resource requirements to ensure a controlled transition from the current system to the future solution.

The work shall be conducted in close collaboration with relevant functions within production, engineering, layout, safety, quality, and logistics to ensure that overall needs are captured and that the recommended direction is fully anchored within the organization.

Deliverables:

• Identify several realistic courses of action for how the capacity increase can be achieved.

• Analyze the technical, logistical, and economic implications of each alternative.

• Ensure that the proposed solutions support long-term goals for quality, ergonomics, work environment, and scalability within production.

• Assess the required investments and create a clear decision-making basis for the next step.

Profile:

Education: BSc/MSc in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or equivalent education.

5-10 years experience as project manager

Extensive experience working with the client’s PEIP-process

• specifically experience from purchasing of large production equipment.

Language: English in mandatory

• Swedish is meritorious

Start: ASAP

• the timeline for the project is really tight and the pre-study is expected to be finalized in beginning of April 2026.

The assignment is carried out at on site in Södertälje. Some possibility of hybrid-work after initial start-period on location.
