Application Support Analyst

Job Description/ Position Description: CGI Philippines is looking for an Application Support Consultant with a strong background in Java and PL/SQL to support an Australian utility client. The role involves providing reliable application support while ensuring all deliverables meet CGI's quality standards and engagement policies.

Job Role/ Your future duties and responsibilities: As an Application Support Consultant, you'll work closely with both our Manila and onshore teams to ensure smooth and reliable application operations. In this role, you'll handle incidents, service requests, problems, and changes—keeping systems running seamlessly through proactive monitoring, ticket management, and daily health checks. You'll also generate key reports such as market and SLA metrics, keep documentation up to date, and actively drive service improvements. Plus, you'll play an important role in executing Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DRP) plans to maintain operational resilience.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience as application support background and familiar with ITIL processes. Candidate should have Java, PL/SQL background and excellent communications skills. Candidate should be willing to work AU shift hours. Willingness to perform on-call duty is required and can work independently. He/She should also have the initiative when performing tasks and learning new things.
