Director Consulting Services – Oil & Gas

Your role in our team As Director Consulting Services (DCS) within CGI, you are the strategic pivot in delivering high-value consulting and technology services to our Oil & Gas clients. With your Business & IT expertise, you will lead a team of approximately 15 colleagues, making a tangible difference in assignments across the entire energy value chain. The team primarily supports clients in digital transformation, asset optimization, sustainability initiatives, and operational excellence within upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.

In addition to your own billable assignment (around 50% of your time), you will play a key role in business development, meaning that you are responsible for RFP's, tenders and offers etc. Furthermore, you are responsible for member management, and service delivery. You will drive innovation, growth, and team performance, ensuring that CGI remains a trusted partner for our clients in navigating today’s energy challenges and tomorrow’s transition opportunities. In short: we are looking for someone who has sophisticates business development skills and knowledge of technology services to oil & gas clients.

By leveraging CGI’s global portfolio of services, proprietary solutions, and strong ecosystem of technology partners (including AWS, Microsoft, SLB, AspenTech, AVEVA, PEGA and others), you will develop and deliver cutting-edge solutions. These include Agentic Ai-enabled Services, predictive maintenance, IoT-based monitoring, digital twins, AI/ML-driven reservoir modeling, cloud transformation, and cybersecurity for OT/IT environments. Together with your Vice President Consulting Services and your fellow DCS colleagues, you will contribute to the growth of both our unit and CGI’s footprint in the Oil & Gas and Energy Sector.

How You Will Support Our Team? As a DCS, you combine strategic leadership with deep industry knowledge. You understand how digitalization, automation, and regulatory frameworks (such as emissions reporting, ESG compliance, and safety standards) impact Oil & Gas organizations. With excellent communication skills and strong persuasiveness, you inspire trust and win stakeholders over to your vision.

What makes you the ideal candidate • A completed HBO or WO education. • 5+ years of experience in commercial or operational leadership roles in Business & IT solutions, ideally within the Oil & Gas or Energy Sector. • Expertise in industry regulations, safety standards, and technology-enabled transformation programs. • Knowledge of (Agentic) Ai/ML, cloud platforms, industrial IoT, Advanced Analytics, AI/ML, Digital Twins, and cybersecurity. • Experience with leading technology partners, such as AWS, Microsoft, SLB (Schlumberger), AspenTech, AVEVA, PEGA and others, with the ability to integrate partner solutions into client engagements. • A strong professional network within the Oil & Gas and Energy Ecosystem. • The talent and drive to deliver results through a highly skilled team, while also attracting, mentoring, and developing new talent. • Fluency in English and Dutch.
