CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Database Modeler within our Intel sector, advancing the national security mission through cutting-edge technology. We are seeking individuals with a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging their knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Database Modeler designs, creates, and maintains data models to organize and structure data for efficient use within an organization. They bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring data is accurately represented, stored, and accessed for various purposes, including analytics and decision-making.
This position is located in USA VA Arlington, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
-Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models, defining how data is structured, stored, and accessed within databases and data warehouses. -Work closely with business analysts, data architects, database administrators, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. -Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing data validation rules and maintaining data quality standards. -Optimize data models for performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing. -Document data models, metadata, and data flows, providing a clear understanding of the data landscape. -Implement and maintain data models, ensuring they align with evolving business needs and technical requirements.
Skills & Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 8 years of experience. -Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI Poly -Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL, data modeling tools, and various data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, entity-relationship modeling). -Ability to analyze complex data requirements, identify patterns, and design effective data models. -Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. -Ability to troubleshoot data-related issues and optimize data models for performance.

This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and the ability to manage and improve processes effectively.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $125,500.00 - $247,100.00.
