As a Cyber Security Intern, you’ll work on meaningful projects, learn from industry experts, and contribute to securing client systems, applications, and infrastructure. You’ll develop technical skills, learn to assess risks, and gain exposure to leading cyber security tools and practices — all in a supportive, hybrid team environment.

This position is in Huntsville, AL in a hybrid working model.

Your future duties and responsibilities How you’ll make an impact: • Learn about our industry, clients, organizational structure, and cyber security objectives. • Collaborate with project teams and thought leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks. • Analyze systems, applications, and code for vulnerabilities and security gaps. • Research emerging threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities that impact web applications and infrastructure. • Participate in security assessments, control implementation, and risk mitigation strategies. • Document and communicate risks and vulnerabilities to key stakeholders. • Work with development teams to apply secure coding practices and best practices.

What you’ll need: ● Currently enrolled as a Junior in credits at an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in cyber security, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field. ● Demonstrated passion for cyber security through personal projects, coursework, or competitions. ● Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. ● Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. ● Collaborative mindset with flexibility to adapt in fast-paced environments. ● U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $19 - $25 per hour.
