Job Title: Splunk Developer Experience: 6–8 YearsLocation: Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad/PuneEmployment Type: Full-time

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Splunk Developer with strong expertise in Splunk development, integrations, and platform administration. The role involves onboarding and optimizing log sources, developing dashboards and alerts, handling Splunk and OpenShift upgrades, and ensuring reliable operations on Linux-based environments. Experience with Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

. Design, develop, and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and searches based on business and operational requirements. . Onboard applications and log sources into Splunk, including data parsing, field extraction, indexing strategy, and normalization. . Develop and maintain integrations between Splunk and external systems (APIs, monitoring tools, security platforms, ITSM tools, etc.). . Perform Splunk platform upgrades, patching, and version compatibility assessments. . Support and execute OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) upgrades and Splunk deployments on containerized platforms. . Troubleshoot data ingestion, performance, and search efficiency issues across the Splunk ecosystem. . Automate operational tasks using scripting (Python, Shell, etc.). . Work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure seamless observability and monitoring. . Maintain documentation for onboarding procedures, integrations, upgrades, and operational runbooks. . Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

. 6–8 years of relevant experience in Splunk development and administration. . Strong hands-on experience with: Splunk data onboarding (apps, logs, metrics) SPL (Search Processing Language) Dashboards, reports, alerts, and knowledge objects . Experience with Splunk integrations using REST APIs, HEC, and forwarders. . Hands-on experience in Splunk upgrades and version migration planning. . Strong working knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including upgrade activities. . Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting. . Experience in scripting (Python, Shell scripting). . Understanding of log management, observability, and monitoring best practices.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

. Experience with Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI), including: Service modeling KPIs and health scores Glass tables . Experience deploying Splunk in containerized or cloud environments. . Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation for Splunk deployments. . Exposure to ITSM and monitoring tool integrations.
