• 24 Months Start Date: 1 April 2026 (ASAP) Salary: R50 000.00 to R70 000 per month depending on Experience Role Overview NEC XON is seeking an experienced Nutanix IT Engineer to join their technical team on a 2-year project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management, maintenance, and optimisation of Nutanix infrastructure environments. This role is focused on hands-on support and operational delivery rather than architectural design. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism). Monitor, maintain, and optimise virtualised infrastructure performance and availability. Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management for Nutanix environments. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and virtualisation issues. Support backup, disaster recovery, and data protection processes. Work closely with infrastructure and network teams to maintain system stability. Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management. Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and operational standards. Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and operational procedures. Minimum Requirements 5+ years experience in IT Infrastructure or Virtualisation Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix HCI environments. Experience with virtualisation technologies (AHV / VMware / Hyper-V). Strong troubleshooting and operational support experience. Experience in enterprise infrastructure environments. Advantageous Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or other Nutanix certifications. Experience with enterprise storage, networking, and backup technologies.
