About the position Estimator - Insulation Division (Wadeville) Location: Wadeville, Gauteng Employment Type: 3-6 months (Temp to Perm conversion based on performance) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Estimator with strong technical expertise in the insulation industry to join our team in Wadeville. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing enquiries, compiling accurate tenders, conducting site assessments, and working closely with clients and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Technical Background / B-Tech qualification 5 years' Estimating experience specifically within the Insulation field Key Responsibilities Analyse enquiries, technical drawings, and specifications for project requirements Conduct site visits and take measurements when required Perform accurate quantity take-offs and detailed calculations Determine material costs, availability, logistics, and P&G (Preliminaries & General) costs Compile full tender pricing including all cost elements, overheads, and profit Prepare and issue tender documentation, technical specifications, and formal correspondence to clients Engage in client negotiations, resolve technical or commercial queries, and finalise tender submissions Liaise with Contract Managers, Site Managers, and Supervisors for project clarity and handover Scope of Work Includes Thermal insulation (hot and cold) for vessels, pipes, and equipment Erection and dismantling of access scaffolding Blasting and painting of vessels, pipes, and equipment Asbestos stripping (wet and dry methods) Working with complex formulas in Microsoft Excel (strong computer literacy required) Applying strong technical judgement and understanding of industrial environments Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Competencies High attention to detail Strong numerical and analytical ability Excellent communication and client-interaction skills Ability to work independently and as part of a project team Problem-solving mindset and technical confidence How to Apply If you meet the above requirements and are ready for a challenging, fast-paced estimating role within the insulation sector, please submit your CV and supporting documents to [Email Address Removed] Desired Skills: Thermal Insulation Blasting Painting Asbestos Stripping Scaffolding Estimating Negotiation Calculations Drawing Analysis Desired Work Experience: 5 to 10 years Desired Qualification Level: Degree
