Mechanical Designer - Contract

About the position Our client in the mining and mineral processing industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer to join their dynamic engineering team (Contract role). This role focuses on the delivery of detailed mechanical design and 3D modelling for complex conveyor and bulk material handling systems. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the mining EPCM environment, who will be responsible for producing high-quality designs. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for conveyor systems and associated equipment. Design components including, Head & tail pulleys, chutes, Conveyor structure, Drive stations, Belt feeders Produce, GA drawings, Fabrication, Assembly and Isometric drawings Perform equipment layout and clash detection. Ensure compliance with, Client standards, Mining safety regulations, EPCM engineering procedures Coordinate with, Structural, Civil, electrical & Controls teams Participate in design reviews and model reviews. Support procurement with technical clarifications. Incorporate vendor data into models and drawings. Requirements: Minimum 10 years' experience in conveyor design within mining EPCM projects. Strong experience in bulk materials handling, long overland conveyors. Proficient in, Microstation, AutoCAD, Inventor / SolidWorks, Plant 3D. Proven Mechanical design experience in an EPCM environment Experience working in a fast-paced EPCM environment Desired Skills: Conveyor EPCM Drawings Autocad overland conveyors Mining Solidworks Inventor Plant 3D Belt feeders Fabrication 3D models 2D drawings Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Desired Work Experience: More than 10 years
