We are seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join a dynamic team in Sunninghill. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual with 1–3 years of experience to take ownership of the bookkeeping function up to the Trial Balance stage within a professional and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Full Function Bookkeeping: Process financial transactions accurately up to the Trial Balance stage. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage supplier invoices, reconciliations, and age analysis, while ensuring timely collections from debtors. Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts. VAT & Tax Support: Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and maintain tax-related documentation. Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and ensuring all financial records are kept up to date. Administrative Support: Provide general financial administrative support to the senior accounting team as required. Minimum Requirements Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel. Education: Minimum of a Matric certificate; a Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping/Accounting is highly preferred. Language: Bilingual in English and Afrikaans is preferred to facilitate effective communication with a diverse client base. Logistics: Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license are essential for this role. Attributes: High level of integrity, strong organizational skills, and a "can-do" attitude.
